Edwina Tops-Alexander & Tobias Meyer Match Stride for Stride to Share the Win in €25,500 Elle Prize CSI 5*

Paris, France – June 24, 2022 – A great weekend of showjumping got underway last Friday at the 2022 edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris / Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping CSI 5* with the running of the first five-star class, the €25,000 Elle Prize CSI 5*.

As the 31st combination to enter the ring for the 1.45m two-phase challenge, Tobias Meyer (GER) and Quintus H charged through the course to take the number position for good, leaving all the poles up while being timed in 26.28 seconds.

However, the German rider was not alone at the top of the podium. The following duo Edwina Tops-Alexander (AUS) and Catenda (Casall x Contender) not only matched their clean performance but their stride for stride, registering the same final time to share the victory.

Ingrid Gjelsten (NOR) and Alibi de La Roque (Mylord Carthago*HN / Kannan*gfe) were right on the heels of the two combinations who claimed first place, finishing second only six-hundredths of a second slower than their time at the end of phase two.
