Henrik von Eckermann & Glamour Girl’s Victory Kicks off Day of Swedish Domination at Stockholm

Stockholm, Sweden – June 17, 2022 – A first day of Swedish domination on home soil at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Stockholm was kicked off by Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) and Glamour Girl, winners of the €25,500 MG Prize CSI 5*, the first five-star class of a great weekend of showjumping at the Olympic stadium.

The first important class of the week featured forty-six combinations in the two-phase challenge with obstacles set at the height of 1.45m meters. In the end and to the delight of the home crowd, it was Eckermann who excelled in flawless fashion aboard the 11-year-old bay Dutch Warmblood mare (VDL Zirocco Blue x Caletto I), completing the second part of the course in 22.82 seconds.

Known as one of most fearless riders in the world, taking risks to go fast, Bertram Allen (IRL) and Emmylou (Billy Mexico x Lupin Z) tried to give the eventual winners a run for their money, finishing second due to their final time of 23.54 seconds.
