Alain Jufer Charges to the Top in Speed Challenge CSIO 5* at Sopot

Sopot, Poland – June 12, 2022 – For the second day in a row, the Swiss flag rose the highest above the rest after the victory by Alain Jufer (SUI) and Cornet MM in the PLN $103,500 Porsche Centrum Sopot & Arco by Paco Perez Prize CSIO 5* on the final day of the Sopot Horse Show CSIO 5*.

The Swiss and the 13-year-old bay Westphalian gelding (Cornet Obolensky x Gralshueter) charged to first place in the 1.45m speed challenge, registering no penalties while leaving the rest of the competition in the dust to their time of 63.63 seconds.

After having the biggest victory of his career in the Longines Grand Prix CSIO 5* last Friday at the event Andreas Schou (SUI) came close to adding another one to his career highlights. He rode Granate (Baltic VDL) towards a second-place finish backed by a clean run in 65.31 seconds.

Gerfried Puck (SUI) and Equitron Naxcel V (Balou du Rouet x Landetto) were right on the heels of the latter two, claiming bronze honors by being only seven-hundredths of second slower.
