
Hamburg, Germany – May 28, 2022 – Depite the eighth-place finish last Saturday at the Global Champions League of Ramatuelle – Saint Tropez CSI 5*, the Berlin Eagles still have a commanding lead at the top of the 2022 GCL season standings, having tallied a total of 112 points so far. With the support of German fans behind them, the Eagles look to feed off the crowd’s energy and score a great result to extend their lead at the top of the GCL championship race.
The Hamburg Giants did manage to finish ahead of their rivals a the Longines Athina Onassis Horse Show but the difference between them was only reduced by 2 points, from 15 now to 13 points. The Stockholm Hearts were the biggest winners amongst the top three title contenders, adding 25 points to their championship total as the result of claiming second place at the glamorous event along the French Riviera. They continue in third place with a combined score of 96 points, now only three points behind second place.
