Stefan Eder & Dr. Scarpo Dash for the Cash in €100,000 Al Shira’aa Grand Prix CSI 4* at Montefalco

Montefalco, Italy – May 15, 2022 – The second and final week of the Le Lame International’s Sagrantino Tour CSI 4* came to and end on Sunday and it was  Stefan Eder (AUT) and Dr. Scarpo who came out on top, dashing for the cash in the €100,000 Al Shira’aa Grand Prix CSI 4* at the Le Lame Horses Sporting Club.

Twelve out of the original 48 combinations who entered the ring to face the first round course managed to clear all the 1.55m obstacles within the time allowed, thus advancing to the tiebreaker. Known for being a speedy rider, the Austrian was agressive aboard the 14-year-old grey Oldenburg stallion (Sandro Boy x Carinue) while still leaving all the poles up for no penalties, blazing across the finish line in 35.98 seconds for the win.

Matching the double clear of the eventual winners but almost three-tenths of a second slower (37.27 seconds), second place was claimed by Emanuele Camilli (ITA) on Chadellano PS.

Austria stole the spotlight on Sunday since two of their top riders climbed onto the podium. Gerfried Puck (AUT) and Naxcel V (Baloubet du Rouet x Landetto) teamed up for bronze honors, registering no penalties and a final tiem of 38.02 seconds.
