
Montefalco, Italy – May 13, 2022 – The 2022 Italian Senior Championships gave Italian equestrian fans a new star to cheer for and Francesca Ciriesi (ITA) showed once again that her victory was no fluke at the Le Lame International’s Sagrantino Tour. Ciriesi rode Chacco’s Boy towards a first-place finish in the €51,500 Jump-off Challenge CSI 4* at the Le Lame Horses Sporting Club.
Going up against 12 other combinations in the jump-off, Ciriesi was supreme aboard the 2010 bay Oldenburg gelding (Chacco-Blue x Quatro B), overcoming all the 1.50m obstacles on the course before completing the round in 34.17 seconds.

Simon Wildmann (GER) and CMS Compliant (Luidam x Shalom Internet) secured silver honors, matching the two penalty-free performances of the eventual winners while registering a final time of 34.66 seconds.

Ten out of the thirteen finalists managed to duplicate their clean scorecard from the first round. Celine Schoonbroodt de Azevedo (BEL) and Deesse des Embruns (Mylord Carthago*HN x Orame) registered the third fastest jump-off run, earning the third spot on the podium in 34.67 seconds.
