
La Baule, France – May 05, 2022 – France got off to a great start at the 20222 edition of the Jumping International of La Baule CSIO 5*. Mathieu Billot (FRA) and H claimed top honors in the €25,500 Prix Département Loire Atlantique CSIO 5* on Thursday, setting the stage for a great event.
The Frenchman and the 10-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding (Indoctro x Emilion) were supreme in the 1.45m speed challenge against 55 other combinations, accelerating across the finish line in 63.37 seconds after a penalty-free performance.

Grégory Wathelet (BEL) claimed second place aboard Ace of Hearts (Aliandro x Ra), just four-tenths of a second slower than the eventual winners.

The host country managed to put two of their own on the podium as Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) placed third aboard Citadin du Chatellier (L’Arc de Triomphe x Diamant de Semilly), doing so in 64.80 seconds.
