Conor Swail Accelerates to the Top in $37,000 Speed Cup CSI 3* at Lexington

Lexington, Kentucky – April 29, 2022 – Conor Swail (IRL) has been one of the most consistent riders the past few months and the Irishman lived up to expectations on Friday as he flew to victory with Vital Chance* de La Roque in the $37,000 Welcome Speed Cup CSI 3*, one of the several attractions of the Kentucky Invitational at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Along with Count Me In, Swail’s other top mount, the 13-year-old Selle Français gelding has played a vital role in the Irishman’s rise to the top of the Longines FEI Jumping World Ranking, currently in fifth place.

Daniel Bluman (ISR) also dashed for the cash but the Colombian-born rider had to settle for second place aboard Gemma W, doing so in 68.640 seconds.

Another Irishman climbed onto the podium as Shane Sweetnam (IRL) put in a solid penalty-free performance aboard James Kann Cruz (Kannan), registering no penalties when crossing the finish line in 69.160 seconds.

2) Daniel Bluman (ISR) & Gemma W – 0 – 68.640

3) Shane Sweetnam (IRL) & James Kann Cruz – 0 – 69.160
