
Mexico City, Mexico – May 01, 2022 – Darragh Kenny (IRL) was the star of the day, winning two major classes last Sunday at the 2022 Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City CSI 5*. The jewel added to his crown was the €25,500 Broxel Trophy CSI 5*.
Going up against 33 other top riders in the 1.45m speed challenge, Darragh Kenny (IRL) teamed up with Great-Tilika J (Carosso VDL x Nabab de Reve) for a brilliant penalty-free performance that couldn’t be matched by any other duo, being clocked at 64.05 seconds.
After finishing second in the $300,000 Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico CSI 5* the previous day, the Irishman came close once again, repeating the feat backed by his performance in 65.03 seconds aboard Cornets Iberio (Cornet Obolensky x Charlottenhof’s Iberio).
Abdel Saïd (BEL) and Bandit Savoie (Qlassic Bois Margot x Alcamera) completed the podium, being nine-tenths of a second slower than the latter two.
