
Miami Beach, Florida, USA – April 20, 2022 – The Berlin Eagles have flown into the lead of the 2022 Global Champions League (GCL) title race after winning the second leg of the team championship series at Miami Beach last Saturday. Propelled by the power of Ludger Beerbaum (GER) and Christian Kukuk (GER), the German team managed to add the maximum score of 30 points to their previous score of 19 from Doha, bringing their total to 49 points and the lead. The Eagles will face fierce competition from the Madrid in Motion in Mexico City since the Spanish team sits in second place, only three points behind. Another team from Germany rounds out the top three as the Hamburg Giants have combined for 38 points so far this season.
