
Grimaud, Saint Tropez, France – April 17, 2022 – One of the sensations of showjumping, Henrik Von Eckermann (SWE) and King Edward claimed another jewel to add to their crown of victories, topping the €200,000 Hubside Store Grand Prix CSI 5*, presented by the Indexia Group on Sunday to conclude the second week of the Hubside Jumping de Grimaud‘s Spring Series.
A total of 47 combinations entered the ring for the 1.60m challenge, including some of the best in the world, a total of 12 of them advanced to the tiebreaker, including Steve Guerdat (SUI) & Albfuehren’s Maddox, Scott Brash (GBR) & Hello Jefferson, Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) & King Edward, Marlon Zanotelli (BRA) & VDL Edgar M, amongst others.

In the end, Eckermann (SWE) and the 2010 chestnut Belgian Warmblood gelding (Edward 28 x Feo) were supreme, clearing all the obstacles for the second time before crossing the final timers in 41.67 seconds.
Known for his speed, Julien Epaillard (FRA) was fast aboard Caracole de La Roque (Zandor Z x Kannan*GFE) but not fast enough, earning a respectable second-place finish after being time at 41.79 seconds in the tiebreaker.
Perhaps the most consistent rider of the week, having posted a win and a second-place finish, Marlon Módolo Zanotelli (BRA) was back on the podium, guiding VDL Edgar M (Arezzo VDL x Marlon) towards two clean efforts, the decisive one in 42.23 seconds.
