Grimaud, France – April 08, 2022 – Nicolas Delmotte (FRA) and Dallas Vegas Batilly were at their very best on their brilliant victory in the €25,500 Hubside Jumping Jump-off Challenge CSI 3* on Friday during the first week of the Hubside Jumping Spring Tour CSI 3* & 2*.
Besides being a great rider, Delmotte is certainly known for his quickness too and it was no different aboard the 2013 bay Selle Français mare (Cap Kennedy x l’Arc de Triomphe*Bois Margot). The duo overcame 10 other combinations in the jump-off clearing all the 1.50m obstacles, doing just enough to win with a time of 39.45 seconds.
Once again, the host nation made French fans happy. It was a tight call between the top two Frenchman on the podium. Morgan Bordat (FRA) was just a lit bit slower aboard Uma (Calvaro F.C. x Veneur d’Etenclin), claiming silver honors in 39.57 seconds.
The third spot on the podium was claimed by home jockey Rene Lopez Lizarazo (COL), who rides for event organizer, showjumping enthusiast and fellow rider Sadri Fegaier. The Colombian also put in a valiant effort, registering two clean performances on Cheyenne de La Violle (Nabab de Reve x Utah Van Erpekom), securing bronze honors in 40.41 seconds.
