Guy Williams Gallops to Win €25,500 Garvetur Jump-off Challenge CSI 3* at VillaMoura

Villamoura, Portugal – March 04, 2022 – Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel have been one of the winningest combinations the past two years at the VillaMoura Equestrian Centre and it was no different on last Friday as the dynamic duo claimed top honors in the €25,500 Jump-off Challenge CSI 3* during the sixth and final week of the 2022 VillaMoura Atlantic Tour.

Having won several times at the venue, Guy Williams (GBR) and the 2005 bay Selle Français stallion (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) galloped towards another victory there, clearing all the 1.45m/1.50m obstacles they face both in the first round and tiebreaker, securing the win in 30.50 seconds.

Perhaps the most consistent rider of the season at the cozy Portuguese venue, Victor Bettendorf (LUX) rode Mr. Tac (Non Stop x Toulon) towards another double clear and a podium finish, earning silver honors in 31.20 seconds.

Julien Gonin (FRA) and Valou du Lys (Calvaro F.C. x Galoubet A) had another podium finish too, rounding out the top three by having two penalty-free performances and a final time of 31.85 seconds.
