Oliva Nova, Spain -January 21, 2022 – Gregory Wathelet (BEL) and Argentina de La Marchette marched towards victory in the €26,600 Rent a Car Dénia Trophy CSI 3* on Friday during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour’s Spring Tour I.
The Belgian danced the tango of victory after guiding the 2012 grey Selle Lumbergeoise mare (Acajou de La Marchette x Del Piero PB) flawlessly over the 1.45m obstacles in the two sections of the contest, completing the final part in 26.63 seconds for top honors.
Roger Yves Bost (FRA) and Bluemuch des Baleines (Chacco-Blue x Clinton) were over a second slower, but still managed to secure the second spot on the podium backed by their penalty-free performance all the way to the wire, being time at 27.92 seconds.
Another Belgian completed the podium as Karel Cox (BEL) rode Curiano Van Maarle Z (Canabis Z x Germus R) towards bronze honors in 28.32 seconds.
