
Abu Dhabi, The United Arab Emirates – January 09, 2022 – It was a Super Sunday for Bart Bles competing in CSI 4*-W classes at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. After winning the $130,400 Jump-off Challenge CSI 4*-W just a few hours earlier, this time, the Dutchman teamed up with Kriskas DV to win the $480,500 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix CSI 4*-W, valid as one of the qualifiers for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup Final next April in Leipzig, Germany.
A total of40 combinations lined up to face Peter Schumaher‘s (GER) two-round challenge, featuring 1.50m/1.60m obstacles. Bles and the 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood stallion (Cooper vd Heffinck x Kashmir van Schuttershof) to set the winning time of 41.23 seconds.
Abdullah Mohd Al Marri (UAE) and Sama Dubai (Stakkato x Landcapitol) made the host nation’s equestrian fans present at the event proud, claiming silver honors after completing their second penalty-free performance in 44.56 seconds.
Germany was back on the podium as Jörg Naeve (GER) rode Benur du Romet (Balou du Rouet x Damour) towards bronze honors, also registering a double clear and a final time of 45.94 seconds.
