
Thermal, California, USA – December 05, 2021 – The CSI 2* riders wrapped up FEI competition during Desert Holiday I last Sunday as the evening feature, the $72,900 FarmVet Grand Prix CSI 2*, took place in the Grand Prix Arena. Thirty-seven entries took to the course designed by Alan Wade (IRL), and ultimately it was Egyptโs Nayel Nassar (EGY) and the Evergate Stables entry Oaks Redwood,
The Egyptian rider and the Evergate Stables’ 16-year-old Australian Warmblood Horse gelding (ASB Conquistador x Verdi) emerged with the win after topping 7 other combinations in the 1.45m challenge, doing so in 34.40 seconds.
Second place was claimed by Kyle King (USA) and Enzo (Ustinov x Lord Lancer), owned by Seabright Investment Consultants, were the closest ones, the difference being their final time of
Riders from three different nations climbed onto the podium with Katie Laurie (AUS) and McCaw MVNZ, owned by Carissa McCall, securing the bronze as the only other combination that registered a double clear, completing their second performance in 36. 96 seconds.
