Valence, France – November 25, 2021 – Let’s go! The first edition of the Hubside Jumping Winter Tour got underway this weekend, in Ratières in Drôme (France). The event is full of big names who are already shining under the wooden arena of Haras des Grillons. And to start the ball rolling, it was the Hubside ambassador rider, the 2016 Olympic champion with the French team, Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) , who claimed victory in the the first major FEI class of the day, set over a course with obstacles at the height of 1.45m and counting for the Longines world ranking.

Long at the head of the race, on a course designed by the course manager Frédéric Cottier, the Frenchman Benoit Cernin (FRA) on Cappucino were finally replaced at the top of the podium by Bosty (FRA) and his Ballerine du Vilpion, the latter two completing the second section of the Special Two-Phase Challenge CSI 3* thirteen-hundredths of a second faster than Cernin and his partner.

In third place, the Dutchman Jur Vrieling (NED) was accompanied by his nine-year-old Selle Français gelding, Chabada de L’Esques. The French breeding was in the spotlight of this first round counting for the Longines world ranking: thanks to the fourth place of Paul Delforge on Terre du Banney, the first four horses of the contest were all … “made in France”. Cock-a-doodle Doo !
