La Silla, Monterrey, Mexico – November 11, 2021 – Conor Swail (IRL) and Count Me In are on an official streak, winning five FEI classes in as many months. Their second of the MLSJ series came in the Vector CSI5* 1.50m during Concurso de Salto Internacional at Club Hípico La Silla in Monterrey, Mexico. Three hundredths of a second is what gave Swail and the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding (Count Grannus x Sherlock Holmes) the win.
“His consistency is phenomenal,” said Swail of the horse. “He’s turning into one of the best horses I’ve ever had and we’re still only starting our career together. It’s exciting looking forward. Every round I jump with him, he gets more confident, more comfortable. I’m delighted to win today and I’m looking forward to Sunday.”
Swail, who is the newest member of team Eye Candy, will now point Count Me In towards Sunday’s GNP Grand Prix CSI 5*.
Trying her best with foot speed and efficient turns, Jana Wargers (GER) settled for second riding Limbridge, while Canada’s Sam Walker (CAN) finished third on Evita.
Major League Show Jumping continues with the $200,000 MLSJ Team Competition on Saturday afternoon at 2:30pm CT.
