Jackson Reed-Stephenson & Exception Accelerate to Win €25,500 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4*

Vilamoura, Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – October 15, 2021 – Jackson Reed Stephenson (GBR) with Exception accelerated to win the €25,500 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 4* last week during the seconds week of the 2021 Vilamoura Champions Tour at the Vilamoura Equestrian Centre.

Riding the 2010 chestnut Belgian Sport Horse gelding (Vagabond de La Pomme x Dirka), Stephenson managed to advance and complete the second section of the 1.45/1.50m challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, moreover, registering the fastest clear second-phase performance in 29.69 seconds.

The host nation had the privilege of one of their own climbing to the second-highest position on the podiu. Francisco Rocha (POR) and Lanzarote de Muze (Clinton x Heartbreaker) were also fault-free right down to the wire, earning reserve honors in 30.69 seconds.

Celine Schoonbroodt-de Azevedo (POR) had another good performance aboard Clinto T Z (Clintissimo Z x Indoctro), rounding out the top three in 31.40 seconds.
