Nothing but Gold for Guy Williams & Rouge de Ravel in €30,000 Hubside Special Two Phase Challenge CSI 5*

Grimaud, France – October 16, 2021 – To continue a great Saturday afternoon of sport, another CSI 5* class awaited the riders and the public, a 1.50m speed. Great Britain’s Guy Williams (GBR) riding Rouge de Ravel, previously winners here at Grimaud in September in a 1.45m, repeated their performance.

The Brit and the 2005 bay Selle Français stallion (Ultimo Van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) advanced to and completed the second phase of the 1.45m challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the victory in 33.49 seconds at the end of the final section of the contest.

Perhaps the most consistent rider throughout the week, Eduardo Pereira de Menezes (BRA) had another podium finish. Already successful in the €25,400 Hubside Special Two Phase Challenge CSI 5* the day before, the Brazilian rode H.Big Action (Action-Breaker x Big Star) towards silver honors in 34.97 seconds,

Martin Fuchs (SUI) and Tam Tam du Valon (Ogrion des Champs x Quidam de Revel) were also clean right down to the wire, rounding out the top three in 35.33 seconds.
