Grimaud, Franceย – October 09, 2021 – Frenchman Benoit Cernin (FRA) was also in great form and very much in view last Saturday, winning two speed classes: the 1.50m in the CSI 4* and the 1.45m in the CSI 2*. A little later the French Marseillaise was heard again for Benoit Cernin (FRA)!
The Frenchman won the CSI 4* – 1.50m speed class with his promising Cookie de Vesvre, a 9–year-old gelding by Dollar Dela Pierre, tripping the timers just shy of the 58-seconds mark after leaving all the poles up for no penalties.
Italyโs Giampiero Garofalo (ITA) and Cava were the closest ones, completing their penalty-free effort in 58.61 seconds.
Franceโs Paul Delforge (FRA) and Terre du Banney rounded out the top three backed by a clean effort in 61.31 seconds.
Winner’s Circle – Benoit Cernin (FRA)
โIt’s only his second 1.50m, he did one in Valence, and wonโ, explained the rider from Saรดne-et-Loire. Iโm gradually entering him in classes over this height and at the moment itโs not proving to be a problem for him. He jumped really well, he wants to go, ย gives everything, maybe even too much sometimes, itโs complicated to do a schooling round with him because he always wants to win. When he was a 6 year old I didn’t think he was capable of doing the 7 year old classes and 1.40m tracks, ย finally heโs proved me wrong. He’s real potential to reach the top and Iโve got a lots of hopes for himโ.
