Emanuele Gaudiano & Carlotta 232 Excel in €25,400 Hubside Speed Challenge CSI 5*

Grimaud, France – September 24, 2021 – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) is known to be a formidable opponent when it comes to going fast and the speedy Italian lived up to his reputation, winning the €25,400 Hubside Speed Challenge CSI 5*. It was with his faithful Carlotta 232, with whom he had recently already won at Hubside Jumping de Valence, Monaco and Valkenswaard,

Gaudiano and the 2009 dark bay Oldenburg mare (Chaccomo x Cento) cleared all the 1.50m obstacles on the course before stopping the timers at 59.07 seconds for the victory.

Great Britain’s Holly Smith (GBR) came close to another win at the venue, but this time she was unable to keep up with the frantic pace set by the Italian rider, still finishing 2nd in 62.72 seconds aboard Fruselli (Zambesi x Karandasj).

Supporters of the host nation witnessed France’s Kevin Staut (FRA) claim third place with Athos des Genets, posting their penalty-free effort in 63.28 seconds.
