Grimaud, France โ September 23, 2021 โ Everybody knows that Julien Epaillard (FRA) is lightning fast, certainly one of the fastest riders of the noble sport. And the Frenchman lived up to his reputation last Thursday, 39.68 seconds is the time it took Julien Epaillard (FRA) and the experienced Usual Suspect d’Auge to claim victory in the โฌ25,400 Hubside Special Two-Phase CSI 5*.
Great Britainโs Guy Williams (GBR) on Rouge de Ravel was second with a final time of 40.40 seconds while French rider Edward Levy (FRA) completed the podium aboard Confidence d’Ass in 42.25 seconds.
“It was an opening class, a good number of riders chose to use it as a working round for their horses while others tried to win, which was my caseโ, confided the rider after the prize-giving ceremony. โUsual is starting to have a lot of experience and he was as responsive as ever, Iโm pleased! Tomorrow he’ll be doing the 1.55m and normally the Grand Prix on Sunday but it’s not certain yetโ.
