Grimaud, France – September 16, 2021 – Belgian victory in the CSI 5* – 1.45m class of the day! Constant Van Paesschen (BEL) and Diaz du Thot were the fastest to finish the course proposed by Javier Trenor Paz (ESP), still leaving all the poles up for victory in the €25,400 Hubside Special Two-Phase CSI 5*.
The Belgian and the 2013 bay Selle Français mare (Ready Boy des Forets ‘Hn’ x Diams du Grasset) crossed the finish line in 26.62 seconds for the win.
Margaux Rocuet (FRA), riding the 2020 French 7-year-old vice-champion, Dubai du Cedre (Baloubet du Rouet x Diamant de Semilly) , was in the lead for a long time but had to settle for second after completing the phase two of the 1.45m challenge flawlessly in 27.15 seconds.
The eventual winner of the of the feature class of the day, clearly on great form this Thursday, Alexa Ferrer (FRA), earned bronze honors aboard Gracieux du Pachis (Tinka’s Boy x Caretino), timed in 27.68 seconds.

“Diaz is naturally very fast,” said the Belgian after his round. “It makes it already a bit easier to try and win a class, and when it works it’s always agreeable. She’s only 8 years old, it’s her first 5* but she’s a fantastic mare, she’s really exceptional”.
