Donaueschingen, Germany – August 15, 2021 – Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Albfuehren’s Maddox were the Masters in the Grand Prix of Donaueschingen CSI 3* last Sunday during the CHI of Donaueschingen 3*. A total of 53 combinations lined up for the 1.60m jump-off challenge.

In the end, it was the Swiss who came out on top, teaming up with the 10-year-old bay Swedish Warmblood stallion (Cohiba 1198 x Maraton) towards two penalty-free efforts, the second one in 39.33 seconds for the victory.

It was a one-two for Switzerland as Edwin Smits (SUI) and Farezzo (Arezzo VDL x Van Gogh) earned silver honors, registering no penalties and a jump-off time of 40.53 seconds.

Jorne Sprehe (GER) and Hot Easy (Andiamo Z x Tangelo vd Zuuthoeve) rounded out the top three backed by a clean scorecard, crossing the final timers in 40.65 seconds.
