
Tokyo, Japan – August 02, 2021 – Ahead of Tuesdayโs Tokyo Olympic Equestrian Jumping individual event at the Equestrian Park at Bajikoen, Team Great Britain has issued a statement announcing a change in the starting line-up for the first individual competition at the Olympic Games. Acting in accordance with the FEI Regulations for Equestrian Events at the Olympic Games (article 609), they have decided to bring in Harry Charles (GBR), riding his own and Ann Thompsonโs Romeo 88, in place of Holly Smith (GBR) and Denver, owned by Ian Dowie.
In line with article 609, there is opportunity to make a pre-competition change for the team competition up to two hours before the class begins. A substitution may be made provided it is completed during the period between the end of the Jumping Team Qualifier and up to two hours before the start of the Jumping Team Final on Saturday 7 August.
