
Traverse City, Michigan, USA – July 25, 2021 – A super Sunday concluded the second week of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF). Besides the $230,000 MLSJ TraverseCity.com Grand Prix CSI 5*, another major CSI 5* class took place. In the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel International Ring’s second class of the day, 36 athletes navigated the impressive $72,900 MLSJ1.45m Winning Round CSI 5*.
After having the third-fastest round during the first part of competition, Sydney Shulman (ISR) couldn’t be overtaken with a blazing 27.10-second jump-off round, winning the class for the second week in a row on Jill Schulman’s 12-year-old Selle Francais mare Villamoura.
Adrienne Sternlicht (USA) and Lafayette Van Overis, owned by Starlight Farms 1 LLC, moved up to second place after their clear 28.43 jump-off round, followed by third place finishers Shane Sweetnam (IRL) and Sweet Oak Farm’s Birdy du Thot on a time of 29.41 seconds.
