Dinard, France – July 17, 2021 – Pénélope Leprevost (FRA) and Vérité Une Prince put on a great performance to win the €28,000 Conseil régional de Bretagne Prize CSI 5* last Saturday during the Jumping International de Dinard CSI 5* & 3*.
The French rider, who has been chosen to represent “Les Bleus” at the upcoming Olympic Games, got a confidence boost before heading to Tokyo, teaming up with the 2009 chestnut Selle Français mare (Number One d’Iso x Rosire), registering a fault-free effort in 59.59 seconds.
Another rider to represent his nation in Tokyo, Jérôme Guery (BEL) rode Eras Ste Hermelle (Vargas de Ste Hermelle x Andiamo) towards silver honors, being only four-hundredths off a second off the winning mark set by Leprévost.
The battle for the win was as a fierce as it gets with several soon to be Olympians going head-to-head for the lion’s share of the jackpot, in fact all the top three positions were claimed by them. Currently, the number one ranked rider in the world, Daniel Deusser (GER) was on top form too aboard Casallvano (Casall x Gestion Silvano N), rounding out the top three after a clean run in 60.58 seconds.
