Winner’s Circle – Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA)

“I am very happy with this victory with Nikolaj from Music. He is only eight years old, and to win a speed test in CSI 5* at that age, it is great! I started among the first and yet, he is two seconds faster than the second in the final standings! He did a great job! I have been riding him since he was four years old. Last season, and especially here in Grimaud, at the Hubside Jumping, it was very good. He had already won an event here over 1.50m at the age of seven: I really think he loves this show. The goal for this weekend, when he has already won today’s event and finished fourth in the event counting for the world ranking out of 145 yesterday, the 1.50m jump-off class tomorrow. It will not be easy since he has already run two days in a row, but he needs to gain experience, and I am sure that next year he will be ready for 5* Grands Prix.”
