
Valkenswaard, The Netherlands – June 04, 2021 – Pius Schwizer (SUI) and Balou Rubin R sped to the top of the podium in the €25,500 Two-Phase Challenge CSI 5* on Friday during the Longines Global Champions Tour of Valkenswaard at Tops International Arena.
Riding the 14-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Balou du Rouet x Couleur-Rubin), the Swiss advanced to and completed the 1.45m jump-off challenge without having any penalties attributed to them, securing the win in 26.87 seconds.

Spencer Smith (USA) and Theodore Manciais (Kashmir van Schuttershof x Power Light) secured the second spot on podium, being exactly seven hundredths of second slower than the eventual winners.

The third spot on the podium was claimed by one of Ireland’s superstars, Denis Lynch (IRL) who guided GC Chopin’s Bushi (Contendro II x Nairobi) across the finish line in 27.88 seconds.
