
Grimaud, France – May 09, 2021 – A Belgian dรฉjร vu! For the second week in a row, Gregory Wathelet (BEL) and Cocktail de Talma claimed top honors in the โฌ25,400 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2* during the Hubside Jumping Spring Tour CSI 5*, 4* & 2* at Haras des Grillons venue near the beautiful Gulf of Saint Tropez.
A total of 11 combinations out of fifty-one starters advanced to the tiebreaker after clearing all the 1.45m obstacles on the first round course designed by Gregory Bodo (FRA), including the winners of the same class last week, the โฌ25,400 Hubside Grand Prix CSI 2*. And that’s exactly what the Belgian and the 9-year-old chestnut Selle Franรงais stallion (Baloubet du Rouet x Dobel’s Cento) achieved, completing their second fault-free performance of the day in 38.12 seconds.
Simon Delestre (FRA) and Filou Carlo Zimequest (Coronas x For Pleasure) came close to giving the host nation a victory on the last day of the Spring Series, finishin second only due to their final time of 38.46 seconds.
Christian Ahlmann (GER) and Solid Gold Z (Stakkato Gold x Calvin Z) were not too far behind the latter two, registering no penalties in 38.75 seconds for bronze honors.
