
โs-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands โ April 24, 2021 โ Belgian rider Gudrun Patteet (BEL) was the first lady rider to win during the 2021 Dutch Masters – Indoor Brabant Horse Show CSI 5*. She won the โฌ10,000 Borek Prize CSI 5* with Sea Coast Monalisa van ‘t Paradijs.
Patteet and the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood mare (Bamako de Muze x Emerald van’T Ruytershof) were supreme in the 1.45m accumulator class, registering the maximum number of points possible (65) while posting the fastest time of 48.17 seconds.
Christian Ahlmann (GER) came second with the nine-year-old mare Calvino 16 (Castelan II x Literat 12), matching the score of the winners in 50.95 seconds.
Kim Emmen (NED) put the host nation on the podium after having been performed well throughout the event, ending up in third with Warriors Glory (Warrior x Caretino Glory) after a penalty-free performance in 51.92 seconds.

“I knew I had to ride really fast because Christian Ahlmann was leading and he is fast! I hadn’t seen his round so didn’t know exactly how he did it, but in the end I was over two seconds faster.” Patteet sees a bright future for Sea Coast Monalisa who was born at her neighbours: “Monalisa definitely has potential to do big things.”
