Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – January 23, 2021 – Emilio Bicocchi (ITA) and Flinton flew to first place in the €26,400 Grand Prix Qualifier CSI 3* on Saturday during the second week of the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring MET I.
The Italian guided the 2010 Royal Dutch Sport Horse (Dutch Warmblood) stallion (Clinton x Heartbreaker) flawlessly throughout the two-phases of the 1.45m contest before stopping the final timers in 25.29 seconds for the victory.
Pius Schwizer (SUI) and Balou Rubin R (Balou du Rouet x Coleur-Rubin) almost managed to register their second win the past two weeks there, this time finishing second due to their time of 25.62 seconds.
Olivier Philippaerts (BEL) and Cristel (Diamant de Semilly x Dobel’s Cento) secured the third spot on the podium backed by a clean scorecard, being timed only two-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
