Salzburg, Austria – January 21, 2021 – German double victory for Felix Haßmann (GER) and Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) in 1.45m high Amadeus Opening CSI 4* on Thursday afternoon . It was the first of a total of six CSI 4* classes at the Neuro Socks Amadeus Horse Indoors. There are 211,400 euros to be won as part of the 4 * tour this weekend, and the 115 participants in the opening contest were accordingly top-class. Twenty riders from the top 100 in the world are at the start here in Salzburg, the primary goal is of course to qualify for the Equitron-pro Grand Prix CSI 4* on Sunday, offering a total purse of 100,000 euros.

In order to get used to the conditions in the hall and to give the horses a positive feeling at the start of the tournament, the riders usually put on the laps in the opening competition very calmly and risk a few time errors.

There were 27 flawless rounds at the Salzburg Arena, another 20 pairs crossed the finish line without jumping faults, but with time penalties. Felix Haßmann (GER) and Hans-Dieter Dreher (GER) ensured the German double victory in the Salzburg Arena in this CSI4 * competition.

In the saddle of the 14-year-old Westphalian mare Balance (Balou du Rouet x Landadel), Felix Haßmann (GER) galloped to the finish in 65.43 seconds and thus to victory. In 2019, Haßmann was sixth in the CSI 4 * Travel Charme Grand Prix of Salzburg.
