Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann & Chesmu KJ Lead All-German Podium at Oliva Nova CSI 2*

Oliva Nova, Valencia, Spain – January 16, 2021 – It was a great week for German riders at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour‘s Spring MET I! Being one of the most traditional nations in equestrian sports, the “Bavarians” did not disappoint, claiming the top three spots in Saturday’s feature class, the €25,700 Jump-off Challenge CSI 2* for the Oliva Nova Beach & Golf Resort Trophy.

In the end, it was Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER) and Chesmu KJ who lead the all-German trifecta. Zimmerman not only posted two penalty-free performances aboard the 11-year-old grey Hanoverian gelding (Cornet Obolensky x Calido I) but also the fastest jump-off time of 36.49 seconds to secure top honors.

Speed decided the outcome in the tiebreaker with the next two spots on the podium being taken by combinations that matched the winners’ clean scorecard. David Will (GER) and Forest Gump 29 (Forsyth x Feuerwerk) were the runners-up, the difference being their final time of 36.54 seconds.

Richard Vogel (GER) and Alentejo (Nartago x Skippy II) completed the all-German podium, crossing the finish line just one-tenth of a second slower than the latter two.
