Wellington, Florida, USA – December 09, 2020 – Magnolia Mystic Rose is part of the elite string of horses being ridden by Pan-American medalist Eduardo Menezes (BRA). The renowned rider and the 11-year-old Brazilian Sport Horse mare is in pursuit of a spot in Team Brazil for the upcoming Olympic Games this year in Tokyo, Japan. Haras Rosa Mystica closed 2020 as the best Brazilian breeder according to the WBFSH and Hippomundo World Ranking Lists.

The 2021 Winter Equestrian Festival began last Wednesday, January 6, and continues until April 4, at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, in Wellington, Florida (USA). Each year, the 12-week competition is the longest running circuit in the world and distributes around $ 12 million in prize money. Brazilian participation is usually strong and this year should be no different, although the occasional participation of riders coming from Brazil will be lower due to travel restrictions imposed by the pandemic.

On the other hand, there are several Brazilian top riders in activity in the USA, among them, the Olympic rider Eduardo Menezes (BRA), member of the gold medal Brazilian Team at the 2019 Pan-American Games in Lima, Peru. Eduardo, who spent the 2nd semester in Europe, is ready to compete in the Winter Equestrian Festival. Magnolia Mystic Rose, an 11-year-old Brazilian Sport Horse mare (BH), the daughter of VDL Zirocco Blue out of Majorca Tok, bred by Haras Rosa Mystica, is among Eduardo’s mounts and in partnership with the rider, she is among the candidates for a spot on the Brazilian Showjumping Team.

In 2020, Eduardo and Magnólia were the only combination representing Brazil to go clear in the $230,000 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup USA CSIO 5* . Moreover, the duo’s main achievements last year were:

– 4th place in the $73,000 Equinimity WEF Challenge Cup CSI 4* – Wellington CSI 4*, Florida, USA

– 8th place in the $214,000 Marshall & Sterling / Great American Insurance Grand Prix CSI 4* @ WEF -Wellington, Florida, USA

– 5th place in the $401,000 Lugano Diamonds Grand Prix CSI 5*CSI 5* @ WEF – Wellington, Florida, USA

– 7th place in the FEI Nations Cup CSIO 5* during the Palm Beach Masters Series CSIO 5*, being the only combination from Brazil to go clear in a CSIO 5* competition in 2020. Wellington, Florida, USA

– 4th in the $137,000 Palm Beach Masters Classic CSI 5* during the Palm Beach Masters Open CSI 5* – Wellington, Florida, USA

-1st place in the $37,000 Horseware Ireland Welcome Stake CSI 3* during the Tryon Fall Series at TIEC – Tryon, North Carolina, USA

– 13th place in the Hubside Jumping Two-Phase Challenge CSI 5* at Saint Tropez, France

– 4° place in the €26,000 Jump-off Challenge CSI 3* during the Nastions Cup CSIO 3* at the Sunshine Tour CSI 3* in Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.

Thanks to Magnólia’s great performances, Haras Rosa Mystica ended 2020 with the best BH breeder product in the renowned WBFSH and Hippomundo World Ranking Lists of Breeders of Showjumping Horses and, undoubtedly, the products of national breeding, in pursuit of a spot on Brazilian Showjumping Team. Magnólia is certainly the most illustrious Brazilian Sport Horse mare, a rarity. In the beginning of the year, Eduardo and Magnólia will compete in the main events during the Winter Equestrian Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and should join Team Brazil in the Nations Cup in Ocala, from the 16th to the 21st of March. In April, the duo returns to Europe, where they join the group of rider and horses in final observation to form the Brazil Team heading to Tokyo.

Magnolia Mystic Rose, BH de 11 anos, integra a tropa de elite do medalhista pan-americano Eduardo Menezes em busca de uma vaga no Time Brasil em Tóquio. O Haras Rosa Mystica fechou 2020 como melhor criatório brasileiro nos rankings internacionais WBFSH World Ranking List e Hippomundo.

Começou na última quarta-feira, 6/1, e segue até 4/4, o Winter Equestrian Festival 2021, no Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, em Wellington, na Flórida (EUA). A cada ano, a competição com 12 semanas de duração é a mais longa do mundo e distribui cerca de U$ 12 milhões em premiação. A participação brasileira costuma ser forte e esse ano não deve ser diferente, embora as participações pontuais de cavaleiros e amazonas vindos do Brasil serão menores devido às restrições de viagem impostas pela pandemia.

Por outro lado são diversos os cavaleiros top brasileiros em atividade nos EUA, entre eles, o cavaleiro olímpico Eduardo Menezes, integrante do Time Brasil medalha de ouro no Pan Lima 2019. Eduardo que passou o 2º semestre na Europa, agora disputa o Winter Equestrian Festival. A égua Magnolia Mystic Rose, Brasileira de Hipismo (BH) de 11 anos filha de VDL Zirocco Blue em Majorca Tok, criação do Haras Rosa Mystica, está entre as montarias de Eduardo e junto com o cavaleiro figura entre os candidatos a uma vaga no Time Brasil de Salto em Tóquio.

Na temporada 2020, Eduardo e Magnólia foram o único conjunto a garantir pista limpa em uma Copa das Nações 5*. No ano passado, as principais conquistas da dupla foram o 4º lugar no CSI4* em 30/1, 8º lugar no GP do CSI4* em 1/2, o 7º posto na Copa das Nações no CSIO5* com um único percurso limpo da equipe, em 16/2, o 5º lugar no GP5*, em 22/2, todas classificações conquistadas no Winter Equestrian Festival, o 4º lugar no CSI5* no Palm Beach Masters Open, em 14/3, também nos EUA, a 12ª colocação no CSI5* em Saint Tropez em 27/8, na França, o 4º posto no CSIO3* em Vejer de La Frontera, Espanha, em 29/11.

Graças ao grande desempenho de Magnólia, o Haras Rosa Mystica fechou 2020 com o melhor produto BH nos renomados rankings internacionais WBFSH World Ranking List – Breeders of Jumping Horses e Hippomundo. E, sem dúvida, são raros os produtos de criação nacional em busca de uma vaga no Time Brasil de Salto e Magnólia, a mais ilustre representante na atualidade. Nesse início de ano, Eduardo e Magnólia disputam as principais provas no Palm Beach Internacional Equestrian Center e devem integrar o Time Brasil na Copa das Nações em Ocala, entre 16 e 21/3. Já em abril, a dupla retorna para Europa, onde se junta ao grupo em observação final para formação do Time Brasil rumo a Tóquio.
