Julien Epaillard & Queeletta are Quick to Win the €100,000 Grand Prix CSI 4* at Saint-Lô

Saint-Lô, France – October 25, 2020 – The French flag was flying high on Sunday during the conclusion of the Meeting d’Automne – Jumping International de Saint Lô CSI 4* & 2* in France.

Two rules of thumb usually apply to Julien Epaillard (FRA). The first one is that the Frenchman is either the fastest or one of the fastest riders in any class. Secondly, if he makes it to the jump-off, he’ll certainly go for the win, usually only a rail down keeps the “Flying Frenchman” off the podium or winning.

Taking all that into account, Epaillard on Queeletta, honored those two attributes, registering the quickest clear jump-off effort to win the €100,000 Conseil Départemental de la Manche Grand Prix CSI 4*. Julien and the 12-year-old Oldenburg mare (Quality x Landor S) stopped the timers in 39.12 seconds for the victory.

The closest ones to the winning duo were Juliette Faligot (FRA) and Arqana de Riverland (Cornet Obolensky x Diamant de Semilly), the difference being their final time of 40.22 seconds.

Nina Mallevaey (FRA) and Virtuose Champeix (Rubins de Bruyeres x Avec Espoir) completed the all-French trifecta, registering no penalties in 40.94 seconds.
