Vejer de la Frontera, Spain – October 01, 2020 – Three British riders finished in the top four of the Big Tour €25,400 Speed Class CSI 3* on Thursday. Matthew Sampson (GBR) really is on top form here at the Autumn Tour and has a great string of horses at the moment. He rode Rachael Evison’s, Curraghgraigue Obos Flight (Obos Quality 004 x Errigal Flight) in the 1.45m Longines Ranking class which they won in just 62.64 seconds, with a neat fast clear.
Dutch rider, Henk Van de Pol (NED) was hot on Matt’s heels in the challenge, just sliding in to second place in a time of 62.90 seconds, riding the gelding Looyman Z (Numero Uno, Wellington).
Kayleigh Watts (GBR) kept up her brilliant record of placings in this Autumn Tour, by taking third place in 63.62 seconds aboard the super mare Ninkie de Vy Z (Nonstop x Fidji du Fleury). John Whitaker (GBR)showed he is also on form by coming in fourth riding Unick du Francport and newly arrived Brazilian rider, Pedro Veniss (BRA) with Balada de Colores was fifth.
