
Canteleu, France – September 27, 2020 – Pieter Clemens (BEL) and Icarus powered to win the €51,850 Région Normandie – Nutriset Grand Prix CSI 3* on Sunday during the Happy Jump International CSI 3* at Haras du Loup in France.
The Belgian and the 12-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding (Querlybet Hero x Skippy II) overcame 10 other combinations and adverse weather conditions during the 1.50m jump-off challenge, clearing all the obstacles for the second time before going on to trip the timers in 38.67 seconds for top honors.

Mathieu Billot (FRA) and Quel Filou 13 (Quidam’s Rubin x Cascavelle) gave the eventual winners a run for their money, finishing second only due to their final time of 39.01 seconds.

The host nation also managed to secure the third spot on the podium since Bouvard Cyril (FRA) and Brisbane des Salines (Kannan*GFE x Galoubet A) registered the third-fastest clear jump-off effort, crossing the finish line just sixth-hundredths of a second behind the latter two.
