Grimaud, France – August 30, 2020 – Olivier Robert (FRA) and Vangog du Mas Garnier claimed top honors in the €51,400 Hubside Jump-off Challenge CSI 5* on Sunday during the final day of the Hubside Jumping CSI 5* & 2*.

The duo qualified for the jump-off and repeated their clean performance again in the tiebreaker, tripping the timers in 36.68 seconds for the victory.

Second place was claimed by Jos Verlooy (BEL) aboard  Jacobien Dwerse Hagen (Va-Vite x Querlybet Hero), backed by two penalty-free efforts, the decisive one in 37.36 seconds.

The final spot on the podium was conquered by Harrie Smolders (NED) on Cas 2 (Indoctro x Numero Uno) after registering no penalties and tripping the timers in 38.51 seconds.

Winner’s Circle – Olivier Robert (FRA)

“It’s been a great weekend! We are really happy because Vangog from Mas Garnier had a wonderful reaction on this course. He comes back from a little long stop; these are just his first two international competitions. To win a great event in this way today is a real pleasure. I am very proud of my horse. I was already present at the Hubside Jumping in Grimaud last week, where Vangog gently restarted. This week he took third in an event on Thursday and today he wins the main class; it’s a super nice day! He is in great shape, he is really happy, I think he is getting a second youth! We will therefore be present in Grimaud in September, no doubt!”
