Lier, Belgium – July 26, 2020 – Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) and Beauville Z bested the field to win the €51,700 Flandria Rent Grand Prix CSI 3* last Sunday at the Azelhof Events Equestrian Center.

One of the favorites to win the 1.50m challenge, the Dutchman and the 10-year-old Zangersheide gelding (Bustique x Jumpy des Fontaines) repeated the feat of the previous day, this time claiming top honors after a penalty-free effort in 35.24 seconds.

It was a one-two for the Zangersheide Studbook as Frenchman Titouan Schumacher (FRA) guided Atome Z (Amadeus Z x Toulon) towards two clear rounds too, the decisive one in 35.28 seconds.

The host nation saw one of their very own climb the podium as Pieter Clemens (BEL) and Icarus (Querlybet Hero x Skippy II) crossed the finish line of the jump-off course without having any penalties attributed to them, stopping the timers in 36.32 seconds.
