Jordan Coyle & Picador Power to First in $200,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix at Hits Saugerties

2020. Hits Saugerties CSN GP Jordan Coyle & Picador ESI

Saugerties, New York, USA – July 26, 2020 – The Great American Summer Series, presented by Alliant Private Client, continued with the $200,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix last Sunday at the Hits Saugerties venue.

Jordan (IRL) Coyle has dominated the high performance jumper competition at the Great American Summer Series so far, taking several top placings in featured jumper classes which includes many blue ribbons. Coyle claimed top honors once again in the $200,000 Purina Animal Nutrition Grand Prix aboard Picador, taking the blue ribbon for the third consecutive week in Sunday’s featured class.

A pair of unlucky rails on Coyle’s first ride, Warnike, in the jump-off would put the pressure on Picador, his second ride. The Irishman and the 13-year-old Anglo-European Sport Horse (Lupicor x Concorde) time of 37.018 would secure the win, separating Coyle from the rest of the field by over a full second.

The next two spots on the podium were conquered by a father-daughter duo. Lucy Deslauriers (USA) beat her father to earn silver honors aboard Hester (Wandor van de Mispelaere x Palestro van de Begijnakker), timed in 38.615 seconds.

Mario Deslauriers (USA) & Amsterdam 27 (Catoki x Acord II) completed the podium with a final time of 38.949 seconds.

Purina Animal Nutrition is the official feed of Hits Horse Shows and awarded Coyle with some of their signature horse treats.
