Otomi Grand Prix Competitions Postponed due to Coronavirus

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico – March 17, 2020 – The organizing committee of the Otomi Grand Prix (Grande Premio Otomí), at Otomí  Club Hípico, have released a statement announcing that competitions have been postponed due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

Their announcement is the following:

Dear Equestrian Community,

Despite all the efforts and attending to the requests and suggestions of all our riders and sponsors, we must inform you that we are being notified at this time by the office of the State  Secretary of Health of Guanajuato, where they inform us that in order to counter the threat of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have suggested the rescheduling of the Otomí event that was supposed to be held from March 18 to 22, 2020.

The purpose is to establish healthy distance measures to avoid the transmission of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

We hope to have the understanding of all of you in such a difficult moment that Mexico and the world are going through.

The Otomí Equestrian Club, as a socially responsible company, is following what is suggested by the State Secretary of Health.

We will send you the new dates of the following events, once the health issue has been overcome, and we will give you entry-fee credit for the next Otomi Grand Prix event.”
