Doha, Qatar – Friday, February 28, 2020 – Excitement and action combined to keep fans on the edge of their seats on the second day of Commercial Bank CHI Al Shaqab Presented by Longines, in the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab.

The international equestrian event, which Al Shaqab is organizing for the seventh time, sees 88 riders from 23 countries competing in the Olympic disciplines of showjumping, dressage, and para dressage.

Jane Richard Philips (SUI) and Kenia van’T Laerhof blasted their way to victory in the €51,100 Speed Class CSI 5*.

The Swiss and the 10-year-old chestnut Belgian Warmblood (Fantomas de Muze x Kashmir van Schuttershof) beating the rest of the field with a penalty-free performance in 59.72 seconds.

Roger-Yves Bost (FRA) and Castleforbes Talitha (Cardenio x Baloubet du Rouet) finished second with no penalties and a time of 61.21 seconds.

Young star Filippo Marco Bologni (ITA) and Diplomat came a close third in, just two-hundredths of a second slower than the latter two.
