Nisse Lüneburg Wins “Rider of the Year” as Bemer Riders Tour Champion

Neumünster, Germany – Sunday, February 16, 2020 – He was the favorite before the sixth and final stage of the Bemer Riders Tour and he accomplished his mission: Nisse Lüneburg from Hetlingen won “at home” at the Schleswig-Holstein, being crowned the overall champion of the Bemer Riders Tour, taking home a brand new country Rover Discovery 3.0l SD6 SE.

The eighth place in the Grand Prix of Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken CSI 3* aboard Luca Toni was enough for the 31-year-old to triumph. And now? “Now it’s time for a skiing vacation,” revealed the “Rider of the Year“.

The Fight for the Podium Shakes up the Final Ranking
They made it exciting, the protagonists of the international show jumping series in Germany, because there was a lot of fighting for the podium places two and three. “Maybe it was quite good that Julien Anquetin (FRA) rode such a good lap, the pressure was already a bit higher for me ther , so I was very focused,” revealed Nisse Lüneberger with a sly smile Laugh. Lüneburg won two of the six stages of the Riders Tour, as well as the Redefin Horse Festival and collected points in Neumünster. David Will (GER) came to Neumünster in second place, landed with Forrest Gump far behind in 26th place while Julien Anquetin (FRA) had to stand by and watch as Mario Stevens (GER) and Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) overtook him in the standings. The Frenchman had a fall in the winning round and finished eleventh in the Grand Prix – there weren’t enough points for him to keep the pursuers behind.

“We saw an incredibly exciting final,” said Bernhard Bock, Head of Marketing at Bemer Int. AG, who is also the title sponsor of the final stage, the Volksbanken Raiffeisen banks, a compliment to the decades-long partnership with the VR Classics pronounced.

Mario Stevens (GER) and Stühlmeyer were happy about their successful achievements in the Bemer Riders Tour at Neumünster’s Holstenhallen. Stevens received a Range Rover Evoque D180 aut. R-Dynamic SE for the overall second place in the standings while Patrick Stühlmeyer (GER) took home a Land Rover Discovery Sport D150 AWD SE for being third. Like Nisse Lüneburg, Stevens and Stühlmeyer now have automatic Right to start at the first stage of the Hagen a.T.W. beginning of the new season of Bemer Riders tour.
