Wellington, Florida, USA. – Feb. 5, 2020 –On Sunday, some of show jumping’s most talented athletes gathered at Deeridge Farms for the $213,300 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Wellington CSI 4*-W at the Palm Beach Masters. Lifelong equestrian M. Michael Meller was proud to support the exciting World Cup event, now in its fifth year of operation. This year, Meller presented the M. Michael Meller Style of Riding Award to Brian Moggre (USA).
“Brian Moggre (USA) is such a talented young rider,” said Meller. “He is an incredibly hard worker and he really shows young athletes what they can accomplish if they put their mind to it. It’s been so exciting to watch his career flourish and it is wonderful to be able to recognize him with this award.
“I believe in supporting world-class competitions that showcase the best the sport has to offer,” continued Meller. “The Palm Beach Masters is a beautiful venue with incredible footing. The Jacobs have worked incredibly hard on these events that have turned horse shows back into a world-class event, and I am excited to be a part of it.”
The M. Michael Meller Style of Riding Award is presented to an international equestrian who exemplifies the best style of riding, while maintaining a sportsmanlike composure. Previous winners at events include Beat Mändli (SUI), Conor Swail (IRL), Alison Robitaille (USA), Charlie Jacobs (USA), Eric Navet (FRA), Mavis Spencer (USA), Ian Millar (CAN), Callan Solem (USA), Heather Caristo-Williams (USA), Laura Kraut (USA) and Catherine Tyree (USA).
During Sunday’s competition, Meller presented Moggre with the coveted award, which was dedicated in memory of show jumper Andres Rodríguez (VEN).
