Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – Friday, January 31, 2020 – Jerôme Hurel (FRA) with Icarus van’T Klavertje Vier were the winners of the €25,400 Jump-off Class CSI 3* in the Francisco Moura arena on Friday during the first week of the 2020 Vilamoura Atlantic Tour CSI 3* at the Vilamoura Equestrian Center in Portugal.

The Frenchman and the 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood gelding (Bentley x Palestro vd Begijnakker) bested a field of 14 other combinations in the 1.45m jump-off challenge, registering no penalties in 34.58 seconds for the victory.

Laura Renwick (GBR) and Bintang II (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve x Orlando) were right on the heels of the eventual winners, finishing only eight-hundredths of a second off their pace.

Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge) earned the third spot on the podium after penalty-free performance in 34.97 seconds in the decisive phase.
