Quarteira, Faro, Portugal – January 30, 2020 – Michael Pender (IRL) and HHS Burnchurch were the winners of the €25,400 Two-Phase Class CSI 3*  yesterday during the first week of the 2020 Vilamoura Atlantic Tour CSI 3* at the Vilamoura Equestrian Center in Portugal.

The Irishman and the 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Heritage Fortunus x Cavalier Royale) left all the poles up while picking up the pace in the second second of the 1.45m course, registering a final time of 34.62 seconds for the victory.

Second place was claimed by Guy Williams (GBR) and Rouge de Ravel (Ultimo van Ter Moude x Quouglof Rouge), only one tenth of a second slower than the eventual winners.

Another Irishman made it to the podium since Dermott Lennon (IRL) and MJM Pursuit (Aldato x Cyril) crossed the finish line without having any penalties attributed to them in 34.88 seconds.
