
Guadalajara, Mexico – January 18, 2020 – Andres Torres Hernandez (MEX) and Chabacon claimed their second major victory in as many days, topping the MXN $1,070,000 Jump-off Class CSI 3* yesterday during the Triple Copa Scappino CSI 3* at the Guadalajara Country Club.
The Mexican and the 12-year-old bay Belgian Warmblood stallion (Chacco-Blue x Bonny Z) flew over all the obstacles in the 1.50 contest, overcoming 7 other combinations in the tiebreaker after a penalty-free effort in 39.58 seconds.
Second place was secured by Juan Carlos Martin del Campo Martinez (MEX) aboard Paddington 92 (Pontifex x Lute-Mae G), finishing just off the pace of the eventual winners with a time of 40.24 seconds in the decisive phase.
Antonio Maurer (MEX) completed the all-Mexican podium, guiding Connecticut (Conthargos / Quandessa x Centaver Z) with a clean scorecard and a final time of 40.67 seconds.
