São Paulo, Brazil – January 15, 2020 – Paul Estermann’s Lord Pepsi will be seen under the saddle of Felipe Amaral (BRA). The 14-year-old bay Oldenburg gelding (Böckmann’s Lord Pezi x Santander H) is a very experienced horse at the highest level of the sport, having registered 6 FEI-level wins and several top placings in 290 starts.
He also helped Estermann fulfill many of his dreams, taking him to the 2016 FEI Nations Cup™ Final Barcelona CSIO 5*, the 2018 FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final Paris CSI 5*-W and the 2019 FEI Jumping European Championships in Rotterdam.
The gelding performs very well on the big stage, in fact, he was double clear in the 2019 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup events at both St. Gallen and Fasterbo and also helped Switzerland claim victory in the €200,000 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of France CSIO 5* at La Baule (FRA) the same year. The gelding finished 2019 on a high note, with a third-place finish in the €93,500 Energochemica Grand Prix CSI 4* at Samorin last October.
Representing his parents, Roderick Greenlees and Mimi Greenlees the new owners of Lord Pepsi, Philip Greenlees and Felipe Amaral (BRA).
Keeping that in mind, Roderick Greenlees and his wife Mimi have bought the horse for Amaral, who has his ambitions set high on being part of the Brazilian team that is qualified for this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The Brazilian made the following statement:
“I have always liked the horse and followed him while competing in Europe, especially at Nation Cups events. The horse will arrive at our stables in the next few days. Then, I will take him to the Sunshine Tour for six weeks, where there are several sand and grass rings, to know him better in different situations.”
